Mathematics
The Mathematics Program supports the district mission by enabling students to do the following:
- Analyze, organize, and evaluate information using a variety of techniques
- Determine patterns and how they related to information found in daily life
- Understand the significant vocabulary processes, facts, concepts, principles, theories, and laws of mathematics as means to communicate effectively
- Work individually or as a group to formulate and apply appropriate strategies to solve past or current social or environmental problems or to prevent potential problems
- Analyze and evaluate the results of the solution to consider whether the solution addresses the problem to which it was applied
- Make informed, reasonable, and responsible decisions by analyzing data encountered in everyday life
- Identify and analyze data and the effects it has on the local, national, and international level
