Summer Expectations


Summer is critical in the development of our program.  While participation is not required, it is HEAVILY EXPECTED! If you view yourself as a varsity level player, you need to be attending every scheduled event, including open fields, weights, and games.  While playing time is not dictated by summer attendance, it is directly related to how you perform and we do take that into account when position competitions arise in the season and possible captain selections.


Weights


Summer weights are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings.  Weights are held at the same time for girls basketball, volleyball, and softball so multi-sport athletes will be able to attend for all of the sports they participate in. Weights start at 8:00 am.


Open Fields


Open fields will be every Tuesday morning from 9:00 am - 10:30 am following weights. 


Camps


We will have two camps, one is May 30th-June 1st, which will be for all current and incoming high schoolers.  The second is July 17th -July 20th.  These will be held in the morning starting at 8:00 am.


Games


As of right now, we have one scheduled jamboree in the summer and one scrimmage scheduled.  Wednesday, June 14th will be at Bolivar.  We will provide transportation to and from these games. We ask that you wear black softball pants.  We will also play the Wisconsin Bandits on July 10th here at the high school field. 


Dead Weeks


We will not have any activities the week of July 1st - July 9th and also no activities from July 29th - August 6th.  


Tryouts

The first day of tryouts is August 7th.  We will announce the time closer to the tryout date.
